On 24 November 1978, an article titled "Slit Skirts: A Question of Taste" was published on The New York Times.

"Many of the skirts are so narrow that slits are indeed necessary to permit the wearer to take a healthy stride. That's the practical reason for the leg show. The more discreet slits are placed at the sides, but occasionally the skirt parted at the front or at the back. Somehow the latter is more suggestive.

Nobody denies that there is something flirty about an unexpected view of legs. Men, inured to the sight of bikinis or less on the beach, will still turn around and stare appreciatively at pair of legs.

Time will tell." (source)

Condition Assessment & Pricing

We understand that secondhand clothing may come with some wear and tear. To ensure transparency, we have meticulously assessed each piece of clothing for these 7 signs:

  1. Fading
  2. Stretch
  3. Stains
  4. Snagged threads
  5. Holes
  6. Lint balls
  7. Wonky zip

The clothing will then be priced according to the condition that it is in, along with other factors such as its brand.

What is "Stated Size"?

Good question! The second-hand clothing listed on The Kint Story all come from different brands, that all have their own sizing charts. So for those pieces of clothing that have a sizing label attached, that will be the "Stated Size".

However, there are many pieces of clothing that do not come with a sizing label attached. Hence we have measured each one of them and recorded them under "Measurements".

If you're not sure about your measurements, you may refer to this chart below to roughly gauge. We do STRONGLY suggest you take your own specific body measurements for greater accuracy.

Lastly, should you require any extra measurements please email us at for assistance.
